In [this transaction](https://solscan.io/tx/XNhkYd3un8zkE2AEQWLZE48NqijwAh3kPNDbRT3SErCCoh8jPkSNFzZ4m6u7rzpxSRgxhrQQETLrERFibABome4), wallet `5phHASve...` sent 0.7 SOL to `7mE43XGZ...`, an address reportedly belonging to [pump.fun](http://pump.fun/) head a1on.

The transaction establishes an onchain link between the wallets.

2️⃣ The sending wallet has created several pump tokens

[The wallet's activity](https://solscan.io/account/5phHASve5KWtBayLmTMubvzin58WAUpUZLmk8UEUcW6Z#defiactivities) shows that it has created several pump tokens.

There are a couple of possible explanations:

* The team is conducting final tests ahead of launch.
* The tokens are decoys created in advance to deter snipers.

3️⃣ But what if it's a smokescreen?

This could also be a setup by a scammer. Someone could send a small amount of SOL to a1on's wallet to create the appearance of a connection to the team, then promote a token they created as the "real" one to attract buyers.

It's a common enough tactic to warrant caution.
